To submit a cat or dog lost or found to the GCHS website, send detailed information to our email about the lost or found animal such as name, breed, markings, where and when last seen or found and any other information you feel may help. When possible, please also send a picture.

If you have lost a pet in Gadsden County, please check with the Gadsden County Animal Control immediately. If your pet is wearing tags, the AC officers will make every effort to locate the owner. Gadsden County AC does not have an adoption program and the animals taken to their facility are euthanized if owners are not found. You can reach Gadsden County AC by calling 875-4979 but it is strongly advised that you visit the facility to identify your pet as soon as possible. Many pets are taken to the Tallahassee shelter so you may also wish to visit that facility to identify your pet.

FOUND - Ollie.  He showed up in our field a few weeks ago and we have been taking care of him but he needs to find a good home.  He is extremely intelligent, very loyal, and likes to be around people.  He weighs 62 pounds, of pure muscle, and he is in great shape.  He is probably about 3 or 4 years old. LOST- Buddy Luv was last seen on Miller Road in the Concord area on Tuesday, February 23. He is a brown and white terrier mix, maybe 10-12 pounds. He was wearing a collar and tag. LOST - We lost our small beagle, Baby Dog, while recently vacationing in Champion Oaks, a subdivision on HWY 270 between HWY 12 and County 159 in eastern Gadsden County (in the middle of Quincy, Havana, and Tallahassee).  When:  We haven't seen her since 12-30-09 (just got back to our computers) Size: At 13 pounds (probably has lost weight) she is VERY small, the runt of the litter.  Color, ETC: White, Black, Brown / She has long ears for her size. FOUND - Yesterday (Jan. 4, 2010) we heard a kitten meowing loudly under our house.  Being concerned that it was injured or in heat, my husband crawled under the house and got it.  It wasn't injured or in heat, just hungry and scared.  It's a very friendly, tiger-striped female kitten with some brown spots, about 4-5 months old.  I don't think it's spayed yet.  If anyone has lost a cat in the King Street area of Quincy, please call Wendy at 875-4831 or 645-7341.

LOST - Blue Nose Pit Bull puppy. She was last seen Sunday morning, November 8. She is 10 weeks old with one green eye, one blue eye and has an imprint on her chest that looks like the state of Texas. LOST - Ace - a brown and white terrier.  Ace was lost Monday, 9/14/09a.m.  She lives in Twin Ponds in Havana.  Ace is friendly and she thinks the dog might have followed someone home. FOUND - I found a black and white terrier in my back yard on King Street yesterday.  I have attached pictures that include his markings.  I have checked around the neighborhood and no one seems to know who he is.  I am taking him to the vet this afternoon because he has an issue with his back left leg and has a mysterious bump on his belly.  If you have any information regarding the owners of this dog, please email Melissa Stocks or call 591-9453.
