Buckley weighs about 65 pounds. He’s an energetic, playful dog, and loves to play fetch, especially with his special squeaky tennis ball. He also loves to go for walks and eat blueberries. Buckley is good with other dogs and with cats. He loves attention and would do well with another dog for a playmate. He needs to be in a home with adults only, and also needs a large fenced yard. Buckley is kennel trained. A fenced yard is required.

This girl looks large and in charge but she's as sweet as she can be!  Nellie is a 4-year-old bull dog mix, and weighs about 55 pounds.  She's very affectionate and loving, and she's the biggest lap dog you'll ever meet!  She loves to romp and play with other dogs, and would probably do best with one other large dog as a playmate.  Although Nellie loves all kids, she would do best in a home with older children and adults.   She loves to go for walks and runs, and would fit in well with an active family.  A fenced yard is required.

Chief is a sweet, happy, healthy dog who weighs about 55 pounds. He gets along well with other dogs, and does well with children of all ages. He likes to ride in the car, play with his toys and is crate trained. A fenced yard is required.

Pongo was born approximately July 2007. He is very energetic and affectionate. Pongo would like a family of his own that would provide him with a lot of stimulation through playtime, outdoor activities, and training. Pongo needs a large fenced area to run and would enjoy a canine buddy that is friendly and playful too. Pongo loves to go for long walks and rides in the car.

Sadly, Bobby has come back to GCHS through no fault of his own. Bobby will be a large dog and could weigh as much as 75 pounds. He gets along well with other dogs and with cats, and also with children. He rides well in the car. He likes to go for walks, and does very well on a leash. Bobby is very calm and laid back. He loves attention but doesn't demand it. A fenced yard is required.

Ferguson was probably born mid-late February, 2008. Little Ferguson knows his name, is very happy go lucky and life is one great adventure for him. He is highly inquisitive and tries his hardest to please. He will make an absolutely wonderful addition to any family. A fenced yard is required.

Daisy is probably an Aussie/mix, weighs about 50 pounds, and is an extremely loving family dog. Daisy is nervous around strangers and very protective of her environment. Daisy gets along with other dogs that are calm and not too rough with her. She is in desperate need of that special home where she will be loved and cared for in a gentle way and slowly introduced to new things. Daisy immediately became very attached to her new foster person, which signals her love for human companionship. Daisy would do well with children that treat her respectfully. A fenced yard is required.

Blaze is a Lab/mix about 3 months old probably born in April 2008. His adult weight will probably be upwards of 50 pounds when fully grown. He is an energetic puppy that loves to play. Blaze is still learning about walking on a leash and riding in a car. Blaze gets along well with children that play nicely with him. Blaze loves to be around people and will make a terrific family pet. A fenced yard is required.

Maggie is a gorgeous Bulldog, approximately 12 to 18 months old, probably born around the first part of January 2007 and weighs 70 pounds.  Maggie is very sweet with an outgoing personality.  She loves people and other dogs.  A fenced yard is required.

Socks is a sweet mixed breed dog.  Possibly a Daschund/Fiest mix approximately 18 to 24 months as of June 2008.  She weighs about 30 pounds.  Socks is somewhat shy until she gets to know you, but very sweet.  She loves to "talk" to you.  A fenced yard required.

Buddy is a Gadsden County mix.  He's definitely part bull dog, but he might have basset hound in him, too, since he's really long and low.  He's about 60 pounds of solid muscle and he's extremely loving.  He's very playful and energetic, and good with all other dogs and with children. He is learning to walk well on a leash. A fenced yard is required.
