Shep is a 3 year old Australian Shepherd male with a bob tail. He has one blue eye and one brown eye. He weighs 55#. He is currently listed with ARPH (Australian Shepherd rescue) and any interested applicants will have to go through the adoption process with ARPH. Shep came back into rescue because he was unable to get along with his former brother. Since being in foster care, he has lived with a male and two female dogs and there have been no issues. Any new male dogs coming into the home do have to be socialized very carefully with him. He is fine with all female dogs and small dogs. Shep is great with all humans. He would probably love to play around more with agility. He has had a couple of lessons and did fairly well. Like all Aussies, he is very smart, very velcro and loves nothing more than to curl up on the couch with you and watch tv at the end of the day. He also loves car rides to anywhere. He has some command training, will sit, stay, come, give paw, wait to go out a door or a gate and lay down. He will need a large yard to play and run his energy off. He will also need a family familiar with this breed and savvy to his needs. If you think you might be interested in meeting Shep, please feel free to contact Barbara by email or by cell phone at 850-524-4024 or just go to the ARPH website and fill out an application.
